there is a water leak on my wifes jeep ( i know it's not a ford but it's a general question and i thought you guys could offer a little insight) coming from the rear of the motor. i thought it was coming from the a/c but it leaks long after the motor cools. i don't see any steam when it's hot and the temp guage doesn't show any problems. i haven't seen any water in the oil. i'm thinking it may be a freeze plug but i'm not sure since i've never seen a leak like this before. it leaks the same hot or cold. any help would be apreciated.....thanx '94 I6

you need to confirm if its water or coolant. If you have coolant in the syste, and you are confirming it is in fact water (only) that id dripping, it is not the cooling system.
Perhaps the small diameter water discharge hose from the evaporator plastic case is slightly plugged, slowing down the water drainage - thats why its discharging long after shutting off the engine.
it turns out that it was a bad water pump..... what a relief since she just recently bought the thing. thanx for the the help anyway and, thanx for not hunting me down for posting a jeep question in this forum
