5 Mpg
I just bought a f250SD v-10, 4x4 2003 crewcab however, I am only getting 5 miles to the gallon Its new but the dealer sold it as used cuz it had 100 miles on it and was registered to FOrd.
But I know I should be gettin more MPG, Ive got about 600 miles on it now after 1 week and I think today I got 125 miles on half a tank ( 38gallon tank) so iI think it got a little better.
ANy thoughts or ideas?
My truck's mileage went up as it got some break-in miles on it but never got under 10 even when it was brand new. I'd just watch it for a few more fill-ups and then complain to the dealer if it doesn't get better.
Most folks, me included, average about 11 to 13 mpg for mixed diving. I just got back from a 300 mile highway trip not towing anything and got 14.8mpg with mine, which is the best I've done so far.

I agree you need to use your trip odometer and fuel fill amount to figure the MPG. Keep those records and you may see an increase as you drive. You should get better than 10MPG.
I just hauled my camper and boat up to high mountain lakes last week and got 9.8 going up to 4500 feet. On the way back, I got 11.5. There is no way yours could be that low unless some Chebbie driver is siphoning your gas
