Have you cleaned both? p0402 is saying EGR failure 0097 is faulty sensor ,you might want to double check the connection the little clips break off working the IAT2 connection loose. do you have a Gauge to monitor the EGR values?
Both are brand new my old EGR valve was actually not that dirty but I replaced it and the IAT2 sensor I will.check the clips just doesn't make.since.since their both brand new
Were they both OEM by chance? wont be the first brand new part that was bad of the get. If you can get the values for both then that will scratch the PCM being the fault, next would be wiring chaff so look real close for that aswell
EGR Valve connection and wire harness laying on the Intake, IAT2 sensor connection and wires rubbing on anything? got a Gauge for sensor data ? like scan Gauge, torx app, dash boss any codes?
Ford/Lincoln/Mercury Specific : Linear Logic : Home of the ScanGauge
these are the x gauges from ford there are also another one that's bigger , you will have to command the scan gauge to x gauge then enter each one, when you get EGR pids entered then do the test like this
koeo ( key on engine off)
low ( just Idle no radio HVAC on)
high ( 2500 rpm steady)
take note of these values like that with engine warm. I will see if Rusty or the guys have the other pid sheet
