Hey guys,
So the trans in my 04 5.4 has decided to give out on me and i've decided to just go a head and get another truck. I've been looking for a decent 6.0 but I've seen a posting for an 08 6.4 with 230k miles on it for 13k. It's an ext cab 4x4 XLT, build date 11.09.2007 per ford etis. Its at a dealership so I'm assuming it has yet to have any deletes. Going to look at it tomorrow, but thought I'd ask y'all if this seems to be too high of a mileage to go with. I've always been told that diesels will go to 400-500k but i've never owned one myself. Any thoughts?
senix and bubba are right....motor could handle it.. BUT WHO KNOWS how it's been kept up! Also just because it's been at dealer doesn't mean it hasn't been deleted before then put back together! I would comb through maintenance records if possible...
there's a lot of good deals on the 2008-10's damn good trucks if there taken care of.. I would just take your time until something knocks your socks off! I wanted one so bad...but they we're a little high here and there...found mine last year.. 2008 f250 lariat fully loaded 4wd cc for 54,000miles for $31k
