Anyone ever see this happen? I mean it's like the head gasket was cut or punched out. I twisted the steel head gasket when I pulled the head cuz it was stuck but it would take a lot to cut the steel like that. Also could a bent push rod cause a head gasket to blow? From like an exhaust valve not opening or something..
Ya that's what I was thinking. So what do you think bent the push rod? The truck was running good. You would never know anything was wrong. I found coolant coming into my intake to my turbo up through my valve cover (ccv) which is right above #3 cylinder (4th push rod from front) and come to find out that piece of head gasket to seal that part of was broken off.
Ya I guess. The HG would have to blow and let coolant in cylinder then have irregular combustion and bend push rod then mess up gasket and let coolant come all the way up the crank case vent into intake to turbo?

That sequence of events does sound logical to me FWIW.
K cool. Just trying to figure out why my head gaskets blew. Never saw puke out degas or coolant out exhaust. I'm thinking I can just throw everything together and be fine.
