F6 Front Wheel Cylinder Source

I'm looking for either a rebuild kit for my front wheel cylinders, or the entire cylinder new. The vehicle is a 1950 F6, and my existing front cylinders are 1-3/8". (I think this is not the original size.)

I know the NAPA part number for the rear cylinders (1-1/2"): UP 4511

Does anyone know the NAPA numbers for the front cylinders or a rebuild kit?

Thanks!

The original size was 1 1/4", they are no longer available, the 1 3/8" is the correct replacement.
No sure what the NAPA number is, I got mine from Amazon
Amazon.com: Dorman W4571 Wheel Cylinder: Automotive Amazon.com: Dorman W4571 Wheel Cylinder: Automotive
The Wagner # is WC4571. Also make sure you save the adapters for the end of the hoses.

Thank you both! I went ahead and got the Dorman W4571 off Amazon. At $35 per cylinder, it really isn't worth it to get the rebuild kit and spend the time cleaning everything up, and still risk it leaking...

Does anyone know the Dorman part number for the rear cylinders (1-1/2")?

I just looked at the Amazon link and the Dorman W4511 is the rear cylinder I think. 1-1/2 inch bore.My F4 will need them someday so this is handy info for me too. Have a nice day!

Would someone elaborate on the brake line setup for these cylinders, front and rear? Are the adapters non-standard? Would I be able to purchase new adapters?

I'm looking to re-plumb everything: new lines, cylinders & hardware. My "adapters" have seen better days - the threads are pretty worn. Thanks!

I would try taking one to NAPA and see if they can match something to it.

The adapter is "brake cylinder inlet connector' part #91T2080a

Contact white post restorations in Virginia. They can rebuild yours with brass sleeves and they will out last your grand kids. More expensive but I have been pleased with their service. 1-540-837-1140.

Update on the front brake cylinder hydraulic line adapter. Mine are worn/galled out, so I will be replacing everything between the cylinder and the 1/4" hardline on the frame.

The replacement cylinder (W4571) uses 1/2-20 thread for the hydraulic line. The threaded well is too deep for a common double-flare compression fitting; it won't tighten the line up. Even if it did, I need flex hose, not hard line.

Instead, I will use a 1/2-20 male to -3 AN male adapter on the cylinder, and then a 16" -3 AN female-female flex hose between the cylinder and the hardline. A -3 AN male to 7/16 double-flare compression (1/4 hardline) adapter will connect the flex hose to the hardline. I was able to find all these fittings at Summit Racing.

I'll update this weekend once I plumb everything. I hope at least some of the measurements above might help someone out!
