you know...i told myself i wouldnt post any more on this thread because i have to be the devils advocate and then everyone will hate me. well, here goes...clearly anyone sane would much rather drive your beater than a ricer...but 410 whp is not burning on "rice". people seem to forget what the term "rice" applies to...not only the term now but what it meant when honda first introduced it. i promise that if you knew what 410 "rice" whp sounded like you would know that it does not "buzz" like its coffee can exaust brethren on every street corner. its like, i'm not a big fan of lifted trucks either when they are on 3 4" stacked blocks out back and rebel flags all over them. however when it is a well enginered off road machine i can respect that and not be like"well that guy is just compinsating for a small p****". in my opinion any car that is modified can be cool as long as it is done with class. not cow catcher front ends and whale tail wings. sorry everyone for getting off the subject. now wheres the ugly truck pics?
Well lets see a picture of this 410 horse car. What end is it driving? I don't buy those magazines although I do get an occasional Motortrend or Road and Track, I tend to overlook some stuff. I just can't seem to see a front drive as a performance car. How dow you throttle steer? You can still drive a rear drive through a corner with wheel spin. Ever tried that with a fronty? They do some amazing things going backwards though.
i just used this car as an example as it is the only import i would own...i woulda kept the stock silvia front however the next article is an rx-7 with 486 whp.http://turbomagazine.com/features/0208tur_mega/

Yeah , that's cool. Now if they would just yard out the engine and put it in an original Fairlady.
Although I am "old school" growing up on V-8's, my daughter is into the rice crowd. She currently drives a supercharged Prelude, and is building a 320 hp Civic. Her mags are full of those cars sporting up 1000 hp on a 4 cyl. I would still rather be driving my 'cuda. (If I had it)
hmmm...i am kinda torn because i was hoping to get my dads civic before a guy in a stolen 240 zx ran into it(while it was parked in my dads driveway). but i am much happier in my old truck. at least i can work on it!
