Question How do you Replace the Horn ('97 Expl)

One tone of the horn in my '97 Explorer has gone dead. I can't figure out how to get to it to replace it. I know it's on the driver side somewhere below the battery / headlight area.

Can anyone walk me through how to get to the horn so I can replace it ? ? ?

THANKS!

Tim Evans

Look it up at this link or in a Haynes manual.

How do you Replace the Horn ('97 Expl)

Thanks for the suggestion. That looks like a great link that, I think, covers information from Chiltons.

Unfortunately, I have the Chilton's manual for this car and there's no mention of the horn anywhere. Same thing online at your link.

So . . . I'm still stuck with the question of how to get to the horn in a '97 Explorer so that I can replace it. Any other suggestions? ? ?

Regards,

Tim Evans

They're ~$12 at most parts stores, but you'd probably be MUCH better off buying a Ford/Helm service CD off eBay for ~$10 delivered to your door. It'll cover EVERYTHING on your truck and every other truck & van in '97.
