X-code springs??

The front springs on the SDs are as follows:

u-codes have a 4800# rating
v-codes are 5200#
x-codes are 6000#

A truck with the x-codes will sit the highest in the front and has the highest Front GAWR. They are the front springs included with the snow plow package or on F-450s and F-550s.

Hope this helps.

X-code springs??

Look at the sticker on the door jamb of the driver's door. I think it's towards the upper left on the sticker that it will say " Front GAWR:" and then 4800, 5200 or 6000.
Also, I think towards the lower right on the sticker that it will say "SPR" and underneath that a couple of letters.....it will start with U, V, or X.

Hope this helps..

OK, my truck has 5200 GAWR which makes them V-code springs. Will this affect the lift that I buy??

X-code springs??

Correct me if I'm wrong but the springs are the V, W, X in that order.. Most trucks have std which is V springs. I bought a pair of W's for my 99'.
