f600
a 78/9 f600 has the same cab as the pickups correct, minus the dash? I know the whole front clip is different, but IIRC the cabs were interchangeable.

Yes same cab as far as I have seen, but yes way bigger/wider front fenders (cool), doors that have the push button instead of the lift handle (way cool).

And WAY WAY diffident instrument cluster mount design....here you go. And the steering column is not mounted in the slot at the bottom of the dash like a 73-79.

Last pic is a f600 instrument cluster being modded in to a 73-79 reg dash.

Now for a dumb question....will the F600 dash have the same mounting points as a F100/250?

I think the F600 dash is welded in. But that doesnt make it an impossible conversion.

Thought there was something about the firewall being the same as the bump sides, could be wrong.

In south africa all our 73-79 f100,f250 and f350 trucks comes standard with this dash. Its all RHD though
