By hard left or hard right, do you mean turning the steering wheel to the limit, or just a quick turn into a parking lot? Easy thing to check first - make sure the PCM is securely mounted next to the parking brake assembly. May also have something to do with the gas pedal position sensor - the sudden let-off of the pedal may generate a short if that sensor's going bad? I'm just lobbing out ideas though, other guys may have better input.

As for the squealing going up hills, not so sure. Is the squeal from the engine compartment?

On the noise, I'm going to go out on a limb and guess it's probably turbo surge. Ignore the part when the guy says, "listen to the waste gate," that isn't the cause. Does is sound like this?

I believe switch B is the idle validation switch. If it's sticking and the PCM detects throttle movement, the truck will do nothing but idle, and set the MIL.

It's part of the accelerator pedal assembly. Depending on the year, it's either a separate microswitch, or integrated into the sensor mechanism.

It should be the type with the separate switch. If you stick your head at floor level, you should hear the switch click on and off as you press and release the pedal. It should happen within the first 1/8" of travel or so. If you press it repeatedly and there's a time you don't hear the switch click, it's sticking. If that's the case, you might be able to get some electronics cleaner and spray it in there. Just FYI, the switch has a 2 pin connector on it, and the sensor mechanism has a 3 pin connector.
