Recently bought this to pull a trailer and pick up car parts but its a little too nice for that. Has anyone seen another one of these "trailer special" edition trucks? Started life with a 460 but currently has a 6 in it. I think its kind of rare...just trying to get an idea of how many are out there so I can sell it. Thanks
I've seen a few Trailer Special trucks around. It would be more rare if it still had the 460 in it, IMO.
I actually have one.
1978 F-150 Supercab short box, 2wd, 460, C6, 9" with 3.50 gears. It is completely rotted out now, thanks to the rust belt.
I wish it still had the 460 but the gas millage out of the 6 is hard to argue with... When I first saw it I thought the trailer special stuff was just crap someone put on over the years. I'm in the rust belt too - can't beleive the shape this is in being in Iowa its whole life.
