Well some one just waisted 350 bucks when he could have just spent less then 150 and had better boots and the better factory pipes, not to mention replacing american parts with overseas parts. To many people shop off the "bling" factory then real world use these days I swear.

What I bought is AMERICAN MADE with a life time warranty!

Quote from the site "The Mishimoto 6.0L Powerstroke intercooler pipe and boot kit is made in the USA and includes our signature lifetime warranty."

Now go take your condescension some where else.

Awhile ago when I installed a set into a buddies truck there were made in chinia stickers on stuff in the box so unless stuff changed since then that I wasn't aware of that's what I was basing it off of.

I hope XDP was not posting BS on their website. I will be more than a little upset if everything says Made in China on it. Fingers crossed.

Every site I've seen, including Mishimotos, lists the lifetime warranty. Haven't seen mention of made in the USA tho.

I guess I wasted $4k on my lift, wheels and tires then because the stock stuff worked fine.
He's rewarding himself with a new toy, some people like to do that sometimes (me included) so stop stealing his thunder. Geez.

No....No, NO, NO!

We steal from the poor, eat our young, and make fun of those who don't spend their money on stuff that WE (subjective "we") think they should spend their money on!

Yeesh, c'mon people, that's the American way!

I think it's a good upgrade...and I would do the same. Replace it all! And sell off the unwanted parts.

Keep us posted on the fitment. I'm curious on the parts quality.

So, a box was waiting for me when I got home today! In the box was a complete set of Mishimoto 6.0 Charge Pipes. Made in the good ole USA!

So after diner, I tackled the project, starting with the hot side of things.

Old and new shown together:

The little online video they use as instructions shows things going into position without a care in the world... Ya, not so smoothly. I ended up pulling the passenger side battery to allow better access to tighten things up. However, in the end it came together.

I then moved on to the cool side of things.

Again, here is a pic of the old and new together:

For this side, I also removed the battery, but I also had to remove the air intake as well.

It honestly took longer to take things apart than it did to put them all back together.

Here is how she looks now!

I have not driven her yet, but she started up just fine with no unusual noises, smells or signs.

Here is to a happy 6.0, at least for a little while.

Those American made stickers sure do look nice on those Chinese pipes

Seriously, those pipes sure look nice. Interesting how the hot side turbo boots make up the upper curve. Your going to have to make sure they stay clean now. All that filth is unacceptable from now forward.

Did you see how clean my engine is? Honestly it is a little dirty at the moment, but when the weather lets me have a moment, I will give it a nice cleaning. I was a little shocked at just how dirty the old pipes were...

So the local Ford Steelership has the part for just over $90!

Once I picked myself up off the floor, I started doing some online searches. I can get whole charge pipe kits for about $350, including a replacement for the $90 coupler.

So here is my question, has anyone done the full switch out? If so, what brand did you got with, and do you like it?

Here are the three "best" kits I have found, please let me know your thoughts.

cxracing.com: Intercooler Charge Piping kit 03-07 Ford Super Duty 6.0L Power Stroke Diesel V8

Sinister Intercooler Charge Pipe Kit | Ford Powerstroke 6.0L | 2003-2007

Mishimoto MMICP-F2D-03BK Intercooler Pipe & Boot Kit

They all look like they will do the trick, just not sure about the quality of each, and just because it is a pretty blue, does not mean I will go that way, or that it is any better I am honestly leaning towards the first kit that I posted, but I could go with any of them. Thanks for the help!
I'd have gone with the Sinister kit...but then again that's probably because I've already got a bunch of their blue stuff under my hood! (PS If you ever do want to go with their stuff...call them first...they have yet to actually charge me the price that is on their website!!)
