Fuel Filter

Happy July 4th Everyone!

Just got out of the shower, after crawling out from under the beast.

Don't know how many times I have changed the fuel filter on my Bronco II, but each time, I have to marvel at Ford's creativity, in trying to design the end user's, (You & Me), out of the repair loop.

I have to applaud their reasoning for the protective frame rail location, but that back mounting nut location, is a real bear to get at.

I did the Fuel Pressure Regulator, as well, just to feel that I had done my baby right, and that I had accomplished, at least one relatively clean and easy job for the day.

Again, Happy 4th of July!!

Fuel Filter

I put in a piece of high pressure hose back on the frame rail and installed my filter under the hood on two vehicles. Much easier to service now.

Fuel Filter

Hmmmmmm...

Thats a simple cure, why didn't I think of that.

I guess thats what makes this site so good. The sharing of ideas and experiences amoung Owner's.

So, considering that the fuel filter which is called for on the Bronco II, is a large canister type, where did you locate it?

Is it a visable eye sore in its new location?

Did you go to another smaller style of filter?

What did you do about the quick disconnect line fittings? Just cut them out, and add in the HP hose line with clamps?

Thanks for the input!
