Cool Installing Ac

It is possible, but it will be expensive. You can go to the following web site for the kit:

www.ackits.com

Go to the universal systems link on their main page. They have many options for the vent systems for the inside of the vehicle. They also have the kits to add all the necessary components under the hood (compressor, condensor, accumulator, etc.). If you're serious, expect to spend between $700 - $1000 for the parts.

Be sure to invest in good manifold guages. You can rent most of the tools necessary to do the charging from your local auto parts store, but I recommend purchasing your own guages. Here is a link to a good online A/C distributer:

www.mvpro.com

Good luck

Installing Ac

Clay,
It's intimidating to say the least. I recently bought all the A/C components from a 76 Ford including the dash, ducts, controls, entire wiring harness, etc. It's going to require a large hole to be cut in the firewall, and it does not look like something that can be done in an afternoon.
I just ordered a Ford factory shop manual from the online store to help me sort out where all the wires go.
Probably easier to go with an aftermarket system.

Good luck

Installing Ac

I purchased a complete system from Arizona Mobile Air for my 87 F150 with the 302, www.ackits.com. Nery nice system, comes with everything you need, works great, great customer service, great waranty. I just looked up the kit you would need, around 720 bucks. It is well worth it, your install will be a little harder having to put the ducts in but you will love it when your done. It is a good deal for all the parts you get, everything is new, designed to work with 134A, very nice.
