Which Tonneau?

I really do like the look of this cover & I'm seriously thinking of upping my budget to cover it, the only concern is how much space at the front of the bed becomes redundant due to the canister, my custom Harley is only a couple of inches short of 8ft & I wanted to be able to put it in the back with the tailgate shut, maybe it will go corner to corner!

Go here: Jack Rabbit then FAQ, "How does the Jack Rabbit work?" it states the cannister is 9.75" x 11" tall.
The makers of Bak-Flip also have a RollBakTonneau, their website state the cannister takes from 8.5" (max) to 6.5" Not sure of the price, they both look like nice tonneau's. Didn't know they (Bak-Flip) made a retractable tonneau, anyway look here also:Truck Bed Cap - FAQ

Well thanks again for all of your inputs, I've gone & ordered a Bakflip G2 Tri fold, I figured it is probably more versatile than a retractable cover & far more secure than a soft roll up. I plan on keeping this truck till I'm too old to drive so don't see the point in saving a few bucks on a cheaper product.

I just ordered my BakFlip F1. It will work perfectly for what I need it for and I don't have to lose any of my already-too-short bed when hauling things. Check it out...

My experience between the G2 and F1 is the G2 is painted aluminum, so it dings up easily and fades over time. The F1 is fiberglass coated, and generally does not fade, the F1 is also slightly higher grade rubber than the G2. I've had an F1 and G2 go through a hail storm side by side and the G2 looked like someone took a hammer to it, the F1 looked good as new.
I'm dropping the new F250 off in the morning for the spray in liner and then I'll be installing my Roll-X cover with the Bakbox 2.

All fitted a couple of weekends ago
Really pleased with the quality & fit, I think my bike will go in with the tonneau up against the cab, haven't got a ramp sorted yet though to try it, next job spray in bed liner, I removed the plastic one & although there is absolutely no rust in the bed, the paint is gone in a couple of places & I've never been keen on plastic liners anyway!

shovelhead... your truck's black paint is in literally "brilliant" condition, especially being so many years old.
Can you post a picture of what your four panel folding top looks like when folded "up" so that the bed is as open as possible?
The manufacturer's of these folding tops rarely (if ever) put up pictures of what the top looks like when it is bunched up and folded against the rear cab window. It would be neat to see what a "real world" installation looks like when the cover is un-deployed in the open position, especially to determine clearance for fifth wheel trailers.
