vibration in front

I have a 2000 excursion 7.3 4x4 with 200000 miles on it and I have a couple of issues I can't figure out.
1. I have a vibration in the front end when I start accelerating and turn the wheel. It like a tire rubbing on something, but I know that it isn't rubbing. It will do it if you slightly turn the wheel or turn it a lot . IT doesn't do it when coasting through a corner or when I accelerate going straight. It is a lot worse turning left then right and when I put my toy hauler on the back it gets even worse. I replaced the front hubs which has the bearing in it, the ball joints, the steering arms, and put new fluid in the power steering.

2. When I take along trip over 2hrs my a/c freezes and I have to keep turning it off and letting it defrost and then turning it back on for alittle while.

Does anybody got any ideas?

The A/C sounds like it's probably undercharged. The vibration, I can't help you with without being there to feel it.

I bet your problem in the front isn't in the front at all. I bet it's the splines in your drive shaft that need to be greased. It sounds stupid.... I know.

I have a grease fitting on the front of the drive line that I lube everytime I service it. Is that how you grease it or do you do something else?

Not to be argumentative, but if everything was fine it wouldn't be freezing up. Whoever checked it must have missed something.

Where your carrier bearing is. Take the rear portion of your drive shaft apart. You'll see splines on the drive shaft when you pull it apart grease them up and put it back together. There's a few threads I believe on this. Do a quick search

the vibration, i had similar and corrected just last week. When i would turn it would vibrate, fine on straight away, and get worse under load. I ended up finding a bad steering link coming off the pitman arm, i rotated my tires cuz of excessive wear on inside drivers side cupping, and put new shocks on, problem is gone. Been driving it all week and issue has disappeared. I too had racked my mind trying to find it, i had to end up taking it in to a shop and did the above work. Not sure thats what your problem is, but thats what worked for me.

On the AC. There's a guy on here, no body likes him on FTE, powerstroke doctor or something. He had a video out once about changing the orphus on one of the ac lines that would cool down your ac. He also said be care full in humid climates because your ac would freeze up. I bet that is what somebody did to your truck. Just a guess, but it sounds like it. I think you'll going to have to devac your system to fix it. Tell your ac shop to check it out then do the AC mod if you have an early set up. It block the coolant from running thur the system when you don't need it. Its easy and simple to do.

Just a quick update I took my excursion to tire shop had tires checked for cupping, rotated, and balanced. had them check the vibration/noise and there only suggestion was to wd40 the front leaf springs. I noticed also that vibration/noise doesn't do it in reverse. So I am still chasing my ghost. On the a/c I am going to vacuum the system out and change the orifice tube, wish me look on at least solving that one.
