I have a '84 F-250 Diesel. The people I got it from "hotwired" just about everything. Now the Headlights are on the brink. I know it's a short somewhere, but don't have the time at the moment to trace it out. Is there a way to direct wire the headlights to the battery or a toggle until I get time off to find the short? Any other suggestions to have them working by tomorrow before dark?
Yep,
Not a problem...except remember to get your parking lights too,and not to get the brights also...you need a three way to toggle the brights,or you can just run low beams. Don't forget to disconnect the lights from the harness before you do this to keep from feeding power back to the short...just in case...smoke in the cab is not a good thing...
Ok, I'm not following you.. I need to know "HOW" to wire the headlights to the battery.. at least just the low beams so I can drive back a forth to work( I work nights). Please explain how to do that.
