9 Inch leak

I'll start off by saying I don't know anything about rear ends so if this is a rookie question I'll gladly eat that. My 9 inch on my 80 F150 is leaking from the rear, right where the brake lines run nearer the rear bumper. Its not the brake lines I replaced those just to be on the safe side. After I drive it I can clearly see a line of 80w90 running down the back of it near the top. I've cleaned the vent tube and replaced all those parts. The pinion seal and the yoke are nice and dry and it isn't overfilled. I'm stumped. It almost looks like its leaking from the hangar for the brake line but I'm assuming that is spot welded on the cover. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

A picture would be helpful. If it really is 80w90, that is gear oil.

It's possible that an axle seal is gone and oil is blowing back. Could actually be a lot of things..
