Ready to pull the trigger!
Hi all. I'm [this] close to closing a deal on an '03 F250 with a 7.3 engine. The odometer stands at 95012 miles.
Can someone help running a carfax report and clueing me in on what to look for to make sure I'm getting a good buy?
The help is appreciated!

Wow, 76 views and 5 page visits but no opinions!
Today I'm doing the title search and heading to my mechanic to check out the truck. If those checks pass, then I'll start final negotiations on price. Right now we stand at $10,500.

It looks great! Carfax charges for the report so I assume that why the lack of responses. I would not buy a vehicle without running one though.

Check out the sticky threads at the top of this page and the 7.3 page. It will give you a used truck buying guide. Stuff to look for. I would be here all day typing. Nice looking truck though. I wish mine had a nice interior like that.

So far everything is checking out
. Thinking beyond the purchase, I would initially like to;
1. Zero out the maintenance clock by changing all fluids and filters.
2. Start shopping for tires and suspension. I just got a quote for an OME suspension but the price tag of $3,200 seems a bit steep
Any after purchase ideas?

Have the dealer get you the carfax, if they want to sell it make it your stand for deciding on buying it.....

Thanks for the idea Forddiesel06, but it is private party. I was hoping someone had unused reports pending they wanted to contribute to the cause.

You may want to to get your own carfax, for your peace of mind about this truck.

Thanks Forddiesel06
Final price settled at $10,200, contract signed hopefully will be taking delivery next week.
I think I'll swap out the wasted BF Goodrich A/Ts with Firestone Destination M/Ts in 285/75/16.
The mismatched batteries will get replaced by a pair of Diehard Platinum PM1 batteries and the tired suspension with an Old Man Emu 2.25" lift, for starters

That is cool there Socuban I think u got a great deal, I to have 285/75/17 on my truck too. They r Coopers but the dealer payed and installed them, so I did not have that expense...You will love the bigger tires, it makes the truck sit tall look..
