break in new engine

My 09 superduty seized a week ago or so Ford is putting in a complete new "remanufactured" 3v v10 engine, I have broken engines in different ways some hipo ones full throttle on the dyno, never a modular motor, how should I break it in and after how many miles can I tow my 4000lb boat?

The manual in my 14 FWIW says no towing for the first 1,000 miles. I was also told to vary the rpms and don't hold a constant speed when possible. So to get to 55 keep it gradual, get to 25 and hold then 35 then 45 back to 40 then 45. Well you get the point

I think a 4000lb load is a exelent way to brake it in, it's not a big chalange for the v10. I've never heard of working an engine to soon but have seen problems from overly light loads. Just don't rev it hard and very your speed.
