Some target practice with a friend of mine.
He was using FMJ 5.56 ammo with his AR, and I was using my old Remington 510 Targetmaster .22 LR with copper jacketed hollowpoints.
The distance was 100 yards, and around 8pm with low light.
Here's the front of the steel water tank:
The red circles are mine, and the green circles are his.
We were both using iron sights.
Here's the backside:
Notice that my .22 rounds were piercing the front, and not quite doing it to the back.
But they sure were making dents and trying their hardest.
My ammo was Winchester Super X CPHP's with a 36 grain load, and 1,280fps speed.

I really think another BS meet an greet at a food place and an evening at Bud's in Lexington would be a ball.
