ignition upgrade
Upgraded the ignition last week to a pertronix unit and thankfully got rid of that funky ignition resistor that some PO had put in line. Thanks to the forum, when the condenser went out and the truck wouldn't run I pretty much knew what was going on!
Also replaced the driver side door window gaskets, regulator and rebuilt the hinges. Door now shuts with one finger and I don't have to do the shoulder bump to open it from the inside anymore. Getting the door off was a bit fun. I figured out why it was off so much. Apparently the pin had backed almost all the way out of the hinge.
Now if I can just find time to get the truck to my buddies shop to get the headers installed and new exhaust system....
Next big upgrade will be the front brake system. Already have the Scarebird brackets. That will take place during the next break from work. I'll make sure i take plenty of photos during the conversion process in case anyone is interested.
