Question

4.2L rear ends

What size rear ends are on the 4.2L F-150s?

The 7.5 inch 8 inch or 8.8 inch? and what gear ratio's do they normally come with? and do you all have t-loc stock?

4.2L rear ends

The 4.2L & 4.6L have an 8.8" differential. The 5.4L receives the 9.75". Trac-Lok would have been a selected option.

The "Vehicle Certification Label" is on the drivers side door jam.

Rear axle ratio codes:
18 - 3.08
19 - 3.55
26 - 3.73
27 - 3.31
H9 - 3.55 Limited Slip
B6 - 3.73 Limited Slip

yes it would, if your stepping on the gas hard.

does a 2001 4.2 have a 28 spline gear or 31 spline gear like the mustangs?

I took one apart and it was a 28 spline axle.
