Let me start out by saying I have used the search function and have done endless surfing looking for current answers on eFans. I have not seen a thread on them for over 2 years.
I was wondering if there is anyone with any recent experience with them. I tow a camper (~6500-700lbs) a few times a year. Most trips are local within 2 hours but one trip to the beach ends up to be 600 miles each way.
Are adding these fans a good idea or will they cause issues. I've seen some say don't do it if you tow and others say there's no issue.
So please any current info or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Its more of a reliability issue. Ive known vehicles with them to over heat because of a wiring issue or something. Thats the reason why I havent pulled the trigger. My fan spins pretty easy so I dont think its a HUGE power parasite and I dont beleive id see enough mpg increase to justify it. But then again I cant justify alot of things on my truck haha like the bull bar halos grill rims

Thanks for the reply. I'm just trying to think of my next purchase. It's either efans or rims. Trying to decide on offset and what rims to get which is the way I'll probably go.
Guess I'll derail my own thread and slide away from adding the efans for now and figure out what rims to get, looking for all black.
Endless searching and here's my short list (in order)(which could change) :
XD misfits
Ultra Motorsports Phantom 225
XD crank
I like the look of the monsters but see them everywhere.
I personally like the cranks. Im not a huge fan of straight black but thats my own haha. Also if your hauling alot id recommend a upgraded tranny cooler
I'm blacking out everything that is not red. Already did the badges matte black with red letter/number inserts. Rims are next thats why I like the all black. Personal preference.
I'm hung up on the offset of the rims. The XD ones I like are 0 offset and the Ultras are 25 degree offset. Don't mind them sticking out a little just not excessive for my taste.
Towing happens 5-6 times a year, cumulative of about 2K-2500 miles total. I bought a 7" fan I am going to attach to the tranny cooler and see how that does but for my application the stock one does fine for now.
Ive got a burgandy truck and have done black wit chrome accents and pretty happy with it. The only thing I dont have that im stuck on is I want the f150 emblem black but the letters chrome and stuck on it. Tranny gets a little bit warm for my liking when I tow
