Clear or Tinted Glass/Ford script
My 1949 F4 226 restoration project is ready for glass. This has been a total frame off restoration but with a few updates that were added by original owner (turn signals and marker lights) and some of mine (6v-12v conversion, upholstery instead of hardboard) so I am open to subtle change. I know a lot boils down to personal preference; however input will be appreciated. Should all glass be clear or all tinted, windshield only tinted and rest clear? What about, Ford script etching?

Originally, all the glass was clear. Having the glass made with standard automotive tint will not be dark enough to look out of place and cut back on some of the suns heat and uv rays. Even if you did just the windshield tinted and the rest of the glass clear for a more stock look, it will help with glare while driving. Darker tint can be used if you want a more custom look. Adding the Ford script, or "bug" as it's known in the glass business, can be expensive and you really have to want it or are building a points-type show truck to justify the expense.
