Can I do anything ???
They make a programer or something that won't tip off the dealer ????
I'd love to do all kinds of stuff......like propane or the bigger turbo fan......maybe a programer........But figure I'll just have to wait.
Anything ???........Anybody ????
The handheld programmers, and the newer 4-page chips aren't supposed to set any codes that can be traced, but the tech only has to look at the computer to see that a chip has been there, and the handhelds leave a PO603 code and some dealers just "assume" a programmer was installed, even though unhooking your batteries to clean the terminals will also leave a PO603.
Basically, if you're really concerned about the engine warrenty, you have to leave it stone stock, but a conversation with your service manager will give you a "feel" for what you can and cannot do, of course, that only helps you if you have a local warranty claim. The dealer you see when your truck breaks down 600 miles from home might not be so friendly.
