1981 inline 6 conversion v-8
hey,
I have an 1981 inline 6 f-100 flareside. I aquired an 1986 thunderbird with a 302 EFI Roller motor. I took all the efi crap off and went with a dual plane 4 bbl etc. My problem is the DISTRIBUITOR is different the drive is an inch shorter in a standard duraspark II so I need to know what type of vehicle has a longer oil pump driveshaft rod so I can make the distribuitor work. In 1986 ford made the roller motor and changed the distribuitor to EEC-IV which uses a 3/4" extension on the distribuitor. I need to find a longer rod. I was wondering that since I am wrecking the inline 6 mybe It is longer but might be 3/4" diameter as opposed to the v8 5/16" diameter any help would make me very happy.
