08 F350 Power steering pump

Can anyone tell me the signs of a new replacement steering pump on a 08 F350?
When I turn the wheel I hear a straining noise. Like belts did in the old days. I wasn't sure if I needed a new pump. Fluid is good.

Try some Lucas power steering additive before spending alot of money for a new pump.
