1996 F150: About three days ago, I started feeling some kind of hesitation in my engine. At first, I thought it was nothing, but it persisted throughout today. I have pinpionted that it happens when I shift gears and give it 3/4 to full throttle; and, it happened more when I was on the front tank than on the rear. I checked all the necessary fluids and fuel lines, but everything checked out.

Yesterday, I added an STP fuel system cleaner additive, then filled it with 89 octane, as opposed to 87 octane, and checked K&N, which was dirty, but not over 3,000 miles dirty. My fuel sending unit is going out on my front tank too.

Today when I checked the coolant in my radiator, I was low about a half-gallon. After I added the coolant today I had a 200 mile trip to drive, and the engine only hesitated maybe three times on the freeway, compared to a lot of hesitation driving in town and on highways. It seemed to improve today.

I figure it's just a glitch, the fuel pump, injectors, air filter, or, it just needs a good tune up

My maintenance has been kept up well with a few minor misses over the years.
I hope that's enough for some feedback.
