Boost gauge install question???

Boost gauge install question???
What's better to use, the nylon hose that comes with the gauge kit or a cooper hose for installing a boost gauge? I'm using the Riff Raff AIH and I have kinked two nylon hoses trying to run it through the firewall. The guy at the local Autozone sold me a copper hose and said it should be easier to run. The were also out of nylon hoses. I don't trust the Autozone clerks! What's everyone's opinion of copper hose or tricks to not kinking the nylon hose!!

I am still running the poly/nylon tubing that came with my gauges after 6 years no issues.The hard tubing would be fine as well.
