parking lights?

56 f100. I am wiring my front lights and am curious: Are the parking lights designed to come on at the headlight switch half out position and then turn off at the headlight full out position at which point they would just be dedicated turn signals? Have to get this question answered before I can tackle the rest of my headlight problems. Thanks

They would be turn signals when you rewire them using dual filament bulbs/sockets.

48-50 F-1 parking light conversion

Has anyone converted an F-1 parking light for signal lights?

Not a F-1 but a '55, replaced the single filament socket with a junkyard dual filament socket and wired it in. You can now buy the dual filament sockets all over the place. Very easy job.
