VSS question

hey guys just wondering if anybody knew what side is positive and what side is negative on the VSS for 1996. or does it not matter which side is which?? Thanks in advance!

are you repairing a broken harness? if so yes it matters, quite simply connect the wires if it works you got it right if not cut them back apart and switch them.
