is syn. trans. fluid better to use than mercon atf. in 5/speed man. trans? 99ran. mazda trans. lot a stop/go/ long trips. is there something better than 80/90 use in diff.? thanks

Use what the manual calls for. These little 5 speeds are pretty rugged, and I wouldn't worry about burning it up anytime soon. As for your rear diff., it doesn't use 90 weight, it uses a special ford-concocted-never-has-to-be-changed-unless-you-get-water-in-it lubricant that works quite well.
