Anybody know where to get the grommets/plugs that go into the unused holes in the air cleaner?
I popped the old ones out and shined up my air cleaner. Of course they fell apart and I can't see any numbers on them. None of the parts stores had anything.
IIRC, look in NPD's Mustang catalog. I recall they have recently been reproduced. The other possible sources include CJ Pony Parts and Virginia Classic Mustang.
If the hole is outside of the air filter, it won't hurt to drive with the plugs missing. The air entering the engine would still be filtered.
Only thing I was really worried about was water. I like to wash under the hood from time to time. Its a lot easier to fill it with water now if you don't watch.
Plus new plugs would be a finishing touch since its all clean and painted up now lol.
