I drive mine back and forth to work (30 mile round trip) every day, and have had the same issue on Monday when leaving it sit over the weekend. Had to jump-start it once this winter...now I just try to start it up on Sunday and kick in the high idle for 15 or 20 minutes to harge things up, and it's ready for Monday every time that way.
Some times I don't drive mine for a week or two, love the truck but prefer the Harley, and it starts right up every time. If you can't make it thru a weekend you definitely have a problem.
Do you have a system in it? In my Harley truck I found that my amps had a draw even with the truck off. I installed a relay that cuts the power to the amps after key off and haven't had any more issues. Just a thought.
Did anyone ever figure out what was wrong with the truck in this thread? My '04 this morning acts like both batteries are dead....when I went to jump the truck off another vehicle; the arc at the terminals tells me something drained them. Since I've been up all night, I haven't started to check everything....but wanted to see if there might be something specific (besides the alternator) that I should check.
The problem is distinguishing between normal keep alive circuit draw and something else to check for. A good rule of thumb if it is in several full volts or amps you have an abnormal draw. Most keep alive circuits are in miliamps.
