i need to eplace my intank fuel pump, 1990 f150. i found a place where i can buy each tank pump, complete, for $88.00 apiece. the same pump at local parts house sells for $167.00. i can buy a carter for #176.00. has anyone tried one of these ac delco pumps and is it still working.

This may be a little late, but I put a AC Delco in a GM truck and it lasted about 10000 miles. The factory lasted 125000. I warranteed out the AC for another AC and again, 10000 miles. Went to the dealer and bought one. 30000 miles later and no problems.

So, I say, buy the one from the dealer or the carter, but not the AC Delco.

I agree totally. Too many stories of trying to save money, but the quality of the products, you get what you pay for!! Also, one of the reasons for putting the pump in the tank is to help it run cooler. The life expectancy diminishes every time you let the fuel get below the pump. Good luck....
