Note that the VIN turned itself into a link. Click it to go to the site's VIN decoder.

I think there's a spring code on the driver's door pillar around the VIN.

I've been told that but just haven't figured it out yet. It don't say spring so I'm not sure how to find it.

Phil, I think I did see that. I'll look again and see if I can see a code. Thanks,

On the bottom line of my tag is a series of abbreviations. The last one is SPR, I am guessing this is a spring code but am not sure. Mine says VA there. My www research shows that there are only a couple of different springs used on these trucks.

Fortunately, there's a door sticker decoder too

All right guys. Just went out and checked, its funy, I never saw that SPR before. I guess its got to do with my glasses but above the SPR is DSO, and below it is VC? So I'm guessing its code is VC. Being a CrewCab 4x4 with LB I thought it would have X code springs? Any way I'll have to check on price and replace them. Don't really want to go extra heavy so I thought just same springs, what do you all say?

I think the V is the front spring code (for the diesel, 5200lb rating per spring pack) and the C is the rear spring code. I know that the only springs up front that are heavier than the V code for the diesel is the X code for the plow package (popular swap to get the front about 1" higher).

Thanks Chief. I wouldn't mind the 1 inch higher I just don't want it stiffer then it was new. I would think if they put the V code on the shorter wheel base diesels they would use a different one for crew cabs.

Here's a link to a spring company. If you scroll down to the F-250/F-350 section you can see what is available. There are basically two options for each application-regular duty and heavy duty.
