What ??
A stroker engine is one that has a crank installed with a longer stroke than stock. This is how you build a 514 out of a 460 or a 347 out of a 302.
As a general rule, The longer stroke will build more torque. This is how semi's make so much power at low rpm's.

Stroking the engine (giving it a longer stroke) pulls the piston down FARTHER into the bore, thus sucking in a LOT more fuel.
More fuel - more power. When you stroke too much you have to start grinding out the sides of the bore at the bottom to allow for connecting rod movement. But talk about GAS consumption!! At 466+ I'm happy to get 10 MPG --- and I drive 110 miles a day just for WORK!!.....
