1st Post. Tranny help needed
OK guys. I sold a 99 Ram Quad Cab sport 4x4 two weeks ago and bought a 1994 F150 Supercab, 351, 4x4 with the HD trans.
I'm not real familiar with Fords but I thought give them a shot. I know when you buy a used vehicle no matter what brand your taking chances but anyway here is the problem. (She has 100,000 miles) occasionally when running about 45-55 mph the tranny will slip and the rpms will rev up towards 5000-5500 and I when I release the throtte and the tranny will "slam" back into gear. I suspect a electrical problem (torqe converter maybe???)
The Air Bag light is flashing 3 times pause and 2 times. Not sure what that means. I bought this truck from a dealer but its as is and I'm looking at about 1500 I suspect for a tranny rebuild if that is indeed what it is. Thanks
