Dipstick tube question
Alright my question is what do you do about mounting your dipstick tube on the f-150s when you put on a set of headers. Now as most guys know with manifolds there is a nut on one of them that mounts it to the truck but with headers you do not have that bracket or bolt and nut setup for the tube. As of right now I just have a good bit of rtv keeping the tube from leaking and its held up at a decent angle buy some vacuum lines that goes to the cruse control and master cylinder. I was wonder what you guys did about mounting it or if you guys did so at all. I only ask this because it leaked on me the other day (no fixed and dry as a bone) but with my flow-tech headers when it leaks it goes down on the header and that in my books is a big no no and I'm not about to have it leak on me one day in the middle of nowhere and start a nice big fire and burn up my truck. Otherwise I would just leak it alone and call it done. So how did you guys go about it or if you did anything at all? Thanks in advance guys.
