I Just did a brake conversion on my 66 F250. I added new steering components (although I ran outta time to change the manual steering box to the power steering box)
Anyway. I want to get it aligned now. I've got it kinda close. I think it's still about an inch pulled in at the front. Kinda pigeon toed.
So the alignment shop is 1.2 miles from my house with 1 left and 1 right turn. It's about $100 to tow it. Would it be safe to drive it one mile with the alignment off?

You'll know as soon as you start going, if it isn't close enough just adjust it a bit more.
Ha, yeah. I tried to take it around the block the first time and I thought I was going to brake something. Got under and and adjusted it. Drives Ok now. Not great but not bad either.
That's what I did, drove and adjusted until I felt comfortable taking to shop. Suggest call in advance, the number of shops w/ the know how, and tools; in particular, adjusting the camphor, are getting few.
Make sure they center the steering wheel before they start bending things. Make sure the # of turns to the left is the same as to the right. There is a dot/slash mark to line up the wheel and steering shaft. Just a thought...............
