Not sure if the Yamaha clutch bolts are similar to some of the skidoos but if so you could use the water method. I've done this to take the clutches off mine. Pull clutch bolt out, lay sled on side, put some water into hole, wrap the bolt threads with that Teflon pipe thread tape, more at top as you wrap it towards end of bolt (stopping at the end of the threads of course), thread bolt in and tighten. Doesn't take much force and it pops it off. Hydraulic pressure.
Because I don't want to spend $50-70 on one that I may use every 2-3 years maybe and more apt to break or screw up the threads. Takes very little force using the water method. Cheap and it is easy

Your probably right. The 05, the first time I tool that clutch off was a little over 10000 miles. Of course cats only need their pulled every 1500-2000 miles for new pins and arms
