I need to replace front wheel bearing assemblies on both sides of my 2003 F250
4x4 and found 3 that fit my truck at autozone all by timken with 3 different prices.
Timken items are
2 of the 3 show the same spline count.. 1 is different.. Don't see how that can be if they are all supposed to fit

Question 1 .. What trucks have fine thread studs versus coracle thread studs ?
I have replaced two on my '02. I just take a lug nut in the store with me to make sure I get the right one. Of course this doesn't help if you buy them online.
I just bought one from advanced auto. If you order it online and pick it up in the store you get I believe 15% off. Really it's no different then just going to the store other then price. I don't recall what manufacture it is but I walked out with it for $105 tax included. They had it ready to go for me when I got there.
From what I have seen the fine threads started in 2002 or 2003. My early 99 has the corse thread along with my dad's 2000. It would be easiest to figure out what you have and then you can order away.
You can also replace the bearing itselft without replacing the hub. Check out this link here. I used it on my 99. In the excursion tech folder there is another link to 1975stroppebaja's page with a write up on this as well.

Yes the Torrington bearing you are referring to is serviceable but the wheel bearings are integral to the hubs and cannot be replaced. Some of us lube them thru the ABS sensor hole, but they cannot be removed and replaced without destroying the hub.
This company gets there hubs from timken and their price is much higher then AZ or Amazon.
Yes but when I called them they said their Timkens are made in the USA. The cheaper Timkens are not. I just do not like putting Chinese parts on my Ford if I can help it.

Oh im with ya on not putting chinese crap on my truck but I believe the AZ and Amazon Timkens also are made in the USA. They come straight from timken. All the part numbers are the same. I have never seen a timken part that was made outside of this country.

See post #6. When I went to Autozone to get hubs for my Chevy Express they had Timkens with a tiny sticker on the bottom of the box "Made in Mexico". They also have Chinese ones. Just Google "Timken made in China" and you will see what I mean.
