What is the difference between a 2000 F250 vs F250 Super Duty

I have a 2000 F250, V-10 Super Duty, (at least that's what the badging says), it is rated at 8,800. What is the difference between my truck, and the regular F250 V-10. I ask because I am shopping for headers, and when I enter the F250 Super Duty, it says they are not compatible. If I change to just a regular F250, suddenly they are compatible. both with the same motors, cab, etc.

Where are you ordering from? Check WE3z's header thread. The last page someone mentioned ordering the Super Duty Banks headers for a Excursion.

It was an e-bay site, selling hedman headers. After speaking with their tech site, it was determined there was no difference as far as headers go. Still curious about any other difference though. I will read the WE3z's thread. Can't really afford the Banks package right now.....maybe in the future. Still debating.
thanks

All F250s and up 1999-on were branded as Super Duty trucks.

Ford offered a F250 based on the F150 Truck. It had 7 lug nuts. in 97 they were badged F250's. Ford changed that to 7700 payload pkg to avoid confusion.

I specifically said 1999 and on, not a 97 (which isn't a 99 or on) were named as "Super Duty" models. Bringing up a reference to an older model that doesn't apply only confuses things.

As some others have said, they are the same thing, one in the same.

I have decided to go with the Hedman headers, now just figuring out if I want cat back dual, or single................and then the "check engine" light just came on. Probably should figure that out as well.

The same situation existed in 1999. They sold an F-250 based on the F-150 platform, and an F-250 Superduty that was on the Superduty platform. The "light duty" F-250 wasn't available with the V-10, but had a 5.4 liter V-8.

This may be the source of confusion with two different F-250's in 1999, though since only the SD had the V-10, it should be pretty clear.

Ford took forever to come out with the 99' Super Duty and there were not many 98' Heavy Duty 250 and 350 trucks out. The F-250 LD was sort of a short term gap filler until Ford got their act together and got the new Super Duty out.

I remember my dad ordered his 99' F-250 V10 SD beginning of March 98' and he waited until the beginning of winter until the truck finally came in.
