Im trying to decide what my 59 F100 will weight once im done with it. But what would help is knowing the stock weight of a std cab long bed with a v8 in it?


After im done ill have CV front suspension, 9" rear with 4 link and coil overs. 445 stroker (390 fe based) with aluminum heads and aluminum intake and aluminum carb. Racing style buckets (recline able which is cool even though its kinda hard to recline in a two door haha), and some other odds and ends. My guess is it is going to be close to the same as a stock weight V8 truck or maybe even lights due to the front suspension and aluminum parts on engine.

Anyway if someone has a list of weights it would be much appreciated.

Has anyone here determined the weight difference between the CV front end w/power steering accessories and the stock straight axle setup?

 

I kinda wanna know that too because I've heard both answers of it being lighter and heavier.
