Intercooler spider

WHat years of ic spiders work on our trucks. I may have found a complete ic setup off a 2000 in the middle of bf nowhere. But it's real close to my dad so he could get it and drop it off next time he's around

IIRC you can use the late 99 & up if you switch to 3" intake plenums.

You can use whatever year you want, as long as you're willing to do the fab work. The turbo outlet on the OBS and early 99 are almost the same, and the outlet into the plenums is a 2 1/4". Late 99 through 03 is much larger coming off the turbo, and the intake outlet into the plenums is a 3". So to use a late 99-03 model, you'll have to get adapters for the turbo outlet and plenums, or use 3" plenums.

Bottom line, the OBS and early 99 are same size so only the early 99 spider will work. The late 99-03 models are bigger and require more of the SD parts to work.

Pretty sure the turbo mounting flange is different on the late 99 up

I'd suggest switching over to 3" plenums so you can use a 99 up x-pipe. If not then fab your own out of 3" u bends. If you stick with 2" then just fab one out of 2" u bend. Moving up to a 3" plenum leaves the doors open for the future. Just cut your old turbo flange off the stock y pipe and weld it to new tubing if you plan on using a stock turbo...
