i have a 65 f250 i bought for 500 dollars. the guy i bought it off of said he thought it had a 390 in it. however i checked the VIN numbers and it said it came with a 352. is there an easy way i can tell if it is a 352 or a 390
thanks
Welcome aboard Ryan:
The 390 was not available in the 1965 truck, it came into play in 1967 if I am not mistaken. Anyway, the only way to tell the difference is to to a measurement of the engine stroke (plenty of times this has been mentioned, you will just need to search) or if the engine is out of the truck, pull the ID casting number from the crank.
Good luck! --Mike G
