I just had my 99 F-150 supercab inspected via the new OBDII system. Now(same day) the Airbag light is flashing an error code 2 7. Any idea what the code means and how to reset the system. I hate to think that the inspection station messed the SRS up but man what a coincidence.
Any help is appreciated,
Bob

The Light Flashout Code 27 means a problem with the passenger's airbag disable switch.
You can probably clear the code by pulling a battery terminal off for a few minutes. If the light starts flashing again you'll need to get the system scanned. There are 2 different trouble codes for a LFC 27.
I cant think of any way the inspection station could have made the light come on.
Thanks for the prompt reply. I pulled the switch out today and the light bulb is indeed blown. Any idea what type of bulb to put back in. Looks like a pretty simple circuit but I don't want to start drawing too many amps through it.
Thanks again!

I really dont know what type of bulb it would use as I've never had a PAD switch apart and I dont think that Ford sells the bulbs for them. I would guess it would be something like a radio illumination or headlight switch illumination bulb. It probably wouldn't be a big deal to just replace it with whatever fits and then see if it works ok.
