This subject was discussed here a while back. As I remember, there was no real definite answer as to where the jack and handle were stored. General consensus was they were tossed under the seat, or in the side tool box if so equipped.
I have searched through factory parts books, sales manuals, shop manuals and original owners manuals looking for the answer. Hope you have better luck than I did.
Hi folks - my first post here. So, I recently inherited a nice 1966 F100 long-bed from my father-in-law who is getting to the point he cannot handle the heaviness of the steering and non-assisted brakes. The truck is in decent condition, and drivable, but has some issues from simply being under-used over the last couple years.
Here is a pic:
I'll be giving it a good going over in the coming weeks, but for now I have couple simple questions.
The truck came with a bottle jack and folding winder, lug wrench, and also a cross-lug wrench. I've cleaned and painted these rusty old things up, and they now look sharp once again. However, I am not sure the cross-lug wrench belongs to the truck. Is that right? Was one ever provided
Beyond that, I am trying to figure out where the jack, its winder, and lug wrench go. Some say under the hood (I dont see any brackets) some say under the seat (again, no brackets). I don't want to just have these things clattering away in the cab or in the bed.

Hello, and welcome to the site. Sweet looking truck.
Lots of good people here, with all sorts of knowledge about these old trucks. However, seems like a specific answer as to where the jack, handle and lug wrench were securely stored remains unanswered, other than to toss it under the seat.
Brackets and clips from later F-series could be utilized easy enough, and maintain that "original" appearance. My '78 Supercab mounts the jack under the hood, on the driver side inner fender, and the lug wrench and jack handle snap into clips on the cab floor under the front seat. When the seat is moved all the way forward the wrench and handle are exposed.
Fairly certain the 4 way lug wrench is not original equipment.
I need to do the same for my 66 SB. Have been looking for a jack on eBay or in the catalogs (NPD, LMC, Dennis Carpenter, C&G, and Mac’s) - so far nothing specific to he 66 found. I like the idea posted with the image from the 78, under hood. If anyone has pics to share of their jack placement and info/part numbers I think it would add a lot to this thread. Whatever I end up doing, I will post information just in case someone else is in the same boat. It appears at least a few others are.

No such thing as a specific to 1966 F100 jack, and it's not reproduced. You'll have to find a user....see post #2.
1969/91 Econolines used the same jack, lug wrench and folding jack crank handle (that was an accessory for F100/250's).
Open the right back door of these Econolines, everything is there at the end of the quarter panel.
My 64 has the original jack in the side compartment. I used it the other day. It grumbled at me as I cranked it up under the load of the truck. I didn't see any way to lube it.
I know this is an old post, BUT do you still have that jack? Or do you know where I can get one?
You can frequently find them on eBay. It’s harder to find the folding handle/crank, you’ll just need to look on there every day or so till one shows up. You can also contact Brian Morrison at Slick Truck Parts, he’s got quite a bit of stuff.
